The DermLab: A Journey of Passion and Innovation in Aesthetics
The story of The DermLab begins with a personal struggle—one that resonates with many. Jehana, our Medical Aesthetician and Cosmetic Chemist, embarked on her journey to combat her own battle with acne. This early challenge sparked a deep desire to understand skin and its various conditions, eventually leading her to a career dedicated to rejuvenating skin and restoring its health.
From Personal Experience to Professional Expertise
Having battled acne and the lingering effects of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation since her teenage years, Jehana pursued her education earnestly. After earning a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick, she furthered her studies with an International Diploma in Aesthetics from the Pivot Point Academy, graduating with Distinction as Trinidad and Tobago's first and the Caribbean's second Dermalogica® Expert.
Advanced Training and The Birth of The DermLab
Jehana's relentless quest for knowledge led her to complete Advanced Paramedical Aesthetics training with Dr. James E. Fulton M.D., Ph.D., co-developer of Retin A®. With a solid foundation in aesthetics, she founded The DermLab, where she goes beyond traditional treatments to offer holistic solutions tailored to individual skin needs.
A Holistic Approach to Skincare
At The DermLab, the focus is on comprehensive correction rather than merely addressing superficial skin issues. Jehanna and her team prioritize understanding their clients’ overall health, diet, and lifestyles, which play vital roles in determining the root causes of skin concerns. Customized treatments are carefully devised to rectify cellular functions instead of temporary fixes. Minimal downtime is required, as each procedure is performed by Jehanna, ensuring personalized attention and care.
The Vision Behind Ana-Eli Clinical
Throughout her education, Jehanna often dreamed of creating her own cosmetic line. Recognizing the fluctuating effectiveness of various products, she became a registered Cosmetic Chemist after completing her degree in Personal Care Formulation from the Institute of Personal Care Science in Australia. This passion ultimately culminated in the launch of Ana-Eli Clinical, where her commitment to results-driven and long-lasting solutions can benefit those facing challenging skin conditions.
